  • What is the Student Assistance Program? 

    • The Student Assistance Plan is a benefit provided by your school. It provides prepaid counseling sessions at any Bowen Center outpatient location.

  • How can I make an appointment? 

    • Simply contact the Bowen Health Clinic Registration & Scheduling department at (800) 342-5653 and say “I am a parent (or guardian) of a (Name of School District) student and would like to schedule sessions for my child through the Student Assistance Plan” Our scheduling staff will guide you through the process.

  • What kind of payment is accepted at Bowen Health Clinic?

    • Bowen Health Clinic accepts Medicaid and other health insurance plans, and no one is turned away for an inability to pay or insurance status. If you need assistance, one of our healthcare navigators can help.

  • Does the Student Assistance Program run through the summer?

    • Yes. You may access your prepaid SAP sessions during the summer vacation break.

  • Do Students need parental consent to use the Bowen Health Clinic services?

    • Yes. Any child under the age of 18 will need parental consent.

  • Is my personal health information kept confidential? Will it be shared with my school?

    • The services at Bowen Health Clinic are kept entirely confidential. You may share the information with anyone you choose and will be required to release that information to them formally.

  • Is Bowen Health Clinic just for school-age children? 

    • No. Bowen Health Clinic serves all ages: infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

  • Are there any exclusions to the Student Assistance Program? 

    • Yes. Medication management, psychological testing, inpatient care, and any court-ordered treatment are excluded from coverage.

  • How can I get more information about the Student Assistance Program?
