Consultation and Educational Services :
Professional Consultation regarding specific cases or circumstances is available. Educational presentations regarding mental health issues and services may be requested.

The Brief Therapy Institute is committed to the practice of innovative, time-efficient psychotherapy techniques that provide clients with long-lasting, positive results in the shortest possible time. We seek to further the values of respectfulness, customer responsiveness, quality of care, and time efficiency by providing professional training to other therapists interested in this work.

Our principal model of solution-oriented psychotherapy seeks to identify and utilize client's existing strengths and resources to facilitate lasting solutions. The members of the Brief Therapy Institute are united by these common goals, though we come to our work from diverse clinical backgrounds.

The purpose of this brochure is to provide an overview of workshop, supervision and consultation services available through the Brief Therapy Institute.

Experiential Therapy/Challenge Education :
Programming developed to facilitate opportunities for groups or organizations to improve their abilities to communicate and problem solve, while enhancing teamwork and leadership skills. These services are effective in helping groups attain: confidence, motivation and creativity, through participation in "hands-on" activities that challenge the groups to meet their desired goals and outcomes.

Homemaker Services for Families :
The overall goals of homemaker services are to:
* Increase the number of families served in their own homes prior to removal of children
* Reduce the number of placements of children in substitute care
* Increase the number of children reunited with their families following substitute care
* Decrease the length of separation when substitute care is necessary
* Increase the number of families served in their own home once the child is returned to reduce repetition of abuse/neglect

What is a Homemaker Specialist? :
The Bowen Center Homemaker Specialist will assist and teach parents how to keep a home clean. The HOMEMAKER SPECIALIST is non-judgmental, is a good organizer and believes in helping clients change their circumstances and preserve family life.

ORBY (Educational Programs for Children)

Self-Help Groups, Training and Workshops

A variety of programs are available, including Children Cope With Divorce, Parenting Skills Development, Anger Management, Abuse Recovery, etc., and others can be developed to meet the needs of a population.
