Clinical Ethics for Behavioral Health and Human Services Professionals

This workshop includes an engaging and informative discussion integrating legal and ethical issues as it pertains to mental and behavioral health practice.

Learn about common pitfalls professionals face and strategies to avoid them.

 Siquilla LiebetrauDr. Siquilla Liebetrau, Psy. D, HSPP

 

Dr. Siquilla Liebetrau is a licensed clinical psychologist that has been practicing at the Bowen Center since 2010. She graduated from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Her practice has spanned across individual and group therapy, psychological testing services, and clinical supervision, involving clients of all ages and across the diagnostic spectrum. 

In addition to providing direct services, Dr. Liebetrau also serves as the Clinical Director of the Bowen Center, overseeing the center’s clinical practice including matters such as Suicide Risk Prevention, Evidence Based Practices, Outcome Measures, Ethical Practice, and Clinical Competency.

 

 

Stacey Lohse HeadshotStacey Lohse, BS, CPHRM, SHRM-SCP

 

Stacey Lohse is the Vice President of Risk Management at the Bowen Center. Stacey has worked at the Bowen Center for 15 years. She originally started her career preforming case management services, and later she led a team of individuals that worked with the Seriously Mentally Ill population to assess functioning and risk level.
She was promoted into the risk manager role in 2006 where she became a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management. Stacey later received her BS in Business from Grace College, and in 2017 she received her Society of Human Resources Management- Senior Certified Professional certification.

Stacey serves as the Corporate Compliance Officer and the Privacy Officer for the Bowen Center. Stacey is responsible for overseeing: Client Complaints, Client Deaths, Subpoenas, Center legal issues, Centers Corporate Insurance, Medical Records, Clinical Informatics, Safety, and Workers Compensation. Stacey also oversees the Bowen Center’s residential program, and the Bowen owned housing program, and she serves as the president of the Housing Opportunities of Warsaw board of Directors.

Treating Tobacco Dependence in the Behavioral Health World

Participants will learn about the relationship between tobacco and behavioral health populations, including individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD). This educational event will review factors associated with high rates of tobacco use in behavioral health populations and the impact tobacco use may have on treatment and recovery. 

Participants will review current pharmacological approaches for the treatment of tobacco dependence, evidence-based best practices for treatment integration and supportive policies and will have the opportunity to practice motivational interviewing strategies for working with tobacco-addicted patients.

Participants can earn up to 5 CEU credits.
